Privacy

What we collect

• Account. You sign in with Google or with an email and password (via Supabase Auth). We store your account identifier and email to authenticate you.
• Documents. PDFs you open with Plum stay on your Mac. Plum processes them locally and never uploads them. When you ask the assistant a question, the passages it reads are sent to the AI provider you use.
• Billing. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details, only your subscription status.
• Usage. We keep basic operational logs (for example, request counts and quotas) to run the service reliably.
• Waitlist and feedback. We store email, message, chosen platforms, device, browser, language, time zone, IP address and how you found us. We use it to follow up on feedback and to email you once when a chosen platform launches.
• No tracking. No cookies or analytics. The site that referred you stays in your browser tab and is only sent to us if you join the waitlist.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run Plum: Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (billing), and the AI provider that answers assistant queries (OpenRouter for the built-in assistant, or the provider behind your own key). Only the passages the assistant reads are sent to it. We do not sell your data.
